I posted this on my facebook - Sixteen Random Things

Lets see if I can think of sixteen random things to share with all my friends here on facebook.

1. I am obsessed with baths and showers, bath and shower products, setting the right mood for bath and showers, soft towels, and being lazy and relaxed after a perfect bath. I spend more money than I should trying new products and stocking up on old favorites.

2. I have three cats. We only want two but we keep ending up with a third. If we can't give it away we keep it. The current third, Winky, is the first one I am actually quite pleased with. Three cats is a lot of cats!

3. I was an only child until I was 15. I was not pleased when I learned that this most awesome situation was to change. I was deeply against it, but once the little bro popped out of the oven I liked him pretty well. Then, in my twenties, I learned I have a half brother on my dad's side also, about the same age as my brother. I've never met him, but apparently he lives in our home town. I don't want to just show up and say "hey, I'm the sister you never knew you had" - maybe some day.

4. I played viola in junior high and high school. Keiva can attest that I wasn't very good, but it was still sort of fun (Keiva if you read this what was the name of the quintet we played that had Greensleeves as the harmony?)

5. My newfound hobby that I love more than any other hobby ever is photography. It might be genetic, my father loves it too.

6. I read a lot, but not as much as I used to. I used to have more time, being a grown-up sucks! My husband sometimes dreads me starting a new book (I think) because I can't put it down until I'm done.

7. Like books, I can't not finish a movie that I start. It has to be horrendous for me to even consider turning it off. Either I am a secret optimist who thinks it will get better or I just can't leave it open ended.

8. Seeing a pattern - like books and movies, pretty much most tasks I get started with I can't leave until I finish. I'm tenacious like that... stubborn. Often they are tasks I don't even want to be doing, but as they say in Texas "git er done."

9. I've lost almost 200lbs in the last 2 years but I still look pretty much the same to myself when I look in the mirror. Weird eh?

10. I wish I was tall. If I could have anything in the world, I think tall would be in the top five options along with unlimited money, immortality, being a secret agent, and being able to eat anything I wanted without gaining weight.

11. I am a terrific cook. I am not just tooting my horn, I freaking rock! Its not a good thing when you are trying to lose 200lbs.

12. I am almost finished with my PhD in bioinformatics, which is terribly boring. I love my boss and hate my job. I don't want to continue with bioinformatics, I want to go back to bench work. Microbiology. I'm afraid no one will hire me for bench work though, I'm too rusty.

13. I super duper love my husband and I'm not afraid to tell the world. We are good together and we are thankful for that. I'm hoping for one of those 50 year anniversary situations, especially since that means we'd both live a long long time.

14. I want kids like yesterday. I can't decide when is a "good time" to get pregnant though. There really is never a perfect time, so I guess you just go for it or get a happy accident.

15. I regret not going to medical school, but I'm too old and lazy to try now.

16. Geez. This is a hard list. Ummmmm..... I had a dream last night that Spongebob Squarepants and his ex boyfriend Sharky (from Cabin Boy) were waiting in my TA cubicle to kill me. I kept someone with me at all times because Spongebob could only appear if I was alone. Yes I am probably running a fever, I've got a stomach thing.

And so there you go. Now you know more about me than you wanted to know or I wanted to tell. Can we be best friends forever?

Ok, so two hundred pounds ago I did this picture thing - what celebrities do you look like? I looked like the girl who played Stephanie Tanner, Pablo Picasso, and Dwight Eisenhower. I also looked like some other chicks, but overall, with several pictures, I had a masculine side.

Its gone! Woot! All the matches are hot for a change. Yes I am vain and I'm ok with that.
